Examination of Conscience

26. February 2011 General 0

After finding a couple of Catholic apps spiritually helpful, I figured I’d compile my own “Examination of Conscience”. This is something not done in Protestant circles that I’m aware of. But I find it useful. You may too.

At the top are some Scriptures to soften and encourage the heart, followed by a prayer of preparation to confess our sins. Our Catholic brothers and sisters would use this as a way to get ready to go to confession. Whether you follow Scripture’s encouragement to “confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16), or you use this for private confession, I hope it’s helpful.

Note, there’s a “submit” button at the bottom of the form. I can’t find a way in Google Docs to turn that off. No need hit it.
